Easter 2021.
The year in which the entire human race sought resurrection in the spirit of easter after being cowed down by the covid 19 pandemic.
We have tried to find small joys wherever we could and few things have given us as much joy as good food has. Especially when packed with love.
In this video I am going to take you through the food traditions of the original residents of Bandra, the suburb in Mumbai that has been my home for two decades now.
Starring in the video are the best in town Goan mutton potato chops and patties from Candies, chicken vindaloo pan rolls and mind-blowiing pork sorpotel from the Bandra Gymkhana, East Indian pork vindaloo from Krislyn and Denis of Kris.s Den, banana cakes by Erika Badami and easter eggs (she brought us the Bandra gym treats), cheesecake by Gia Badami and tea cakes and teatime treats by Dinelle and her mum from Learned_from_mom and later easter eggs by Francesco Murzello @thedailycutbands.
