‘Eat local’ and ‘eat seasonal’ is thankfully the flavour of the day and we get to read and hear about the stories of so many wonderful dishes from across India on social media thanks to this.
Usually one can but just imagine how these dishes would taste. Unless you look up a recipe and try sourcing the ingredients and cooking yourself. Or have friends who feed you. Or have home chefs in your city who present their food to the city at large.
In this episode of
#foodocracykitchens on #finelychoppedtv, I tell you about the Surti winter food that we got to taste and enjoy courtesy our friend and Mumbai based home chef, Shital Kakad of @shitalsfoodcottage, who is out on a mission to tell the world that not all Gujarati food is sweet.
Do watch and tell me about the winter foods typical to your community.
