I spent the first five minutes, when K called me after reaching Cannes, dissecting the poop covering prowess of Baby Loaf vs little Nimki.

You don’t want to know more!

I woke up this morning, as I do every morning, with Nimki nuzzling and meowing softly by my face. Signal to wake up and give him his wet food breakfast.

I went back to sleep. Woke up. Showered. Called in and had chicken sandwiches from Candies. Cleaned the litter box before leaving for a Buddhist meeting.

Came back to find the two sleeping bum to bum on their maternal great grandmother’s antique cupboard. (Picture 2).

Baby Loaf got down and followed me like a lamb for a while. Then little Nimki appeared. I fed them lunch. (Pic 1) Little Nimki snoozed on the bed and I joined him for a while. Baby Loaf stayed alone seeking solitude.

Our neighbours dropped in to check on the boys and me. (Pic 3)

Now both boys are sleeping. Loaf on the bookcase. Nimki on the Almirah. ‘Good night and god bless,’ I murmured softly.

Someday there will be an international #catdadsday just as you have #fathersday #thediaryofacatdad
