Take rest, said well-meaning folks when I had a stomach bug recently.

My first response at such moments is, ‘haven’t you been on a break/ resting since the beginning of the lockdown?’
I am not good at keeping records but I one day tried to take stock of my how professional life has been since the pandemic started and this is what I could come up with …. Home Cheffies Awards 2021, India’s first pan India home chef power brand awards with cash prizes and a directory and a jury list of top corporates…#foodocracryforher from April 2020, India’s longest running if not only podcast dedicated to women in the F&B space. Really wish more people would watch this one…. transitioning the Times Kitchen Tales from print and on ground to a virtual context to finish the season … #foodocracykitchens highlighting the work of home chefs in Mumbai … #foodocracyindia podcast series featuring small businesses in food, 8 (or more) food writing/ home chef brand building live sessions and a MasterClass series, the invoices I’ve chased tell me that at least 6 commissioned articles/ brand work, 1 (very) unfinished draft of a (self initiated) book.

We’ve been using the Baker’s Dozen’s brioches over the past few days as one needed the indulgences.
It’s pouring in Mumbai today. I love that. Yes, I am indoors. I know I am speaking from a position of privilege. The entire post was that.
Yes, I made khichuri to go with the rains for lunch.
