#FoodocracyForHer is my video podcast series on #FinelychoppedTV where I speak to women entrepreneurs from the world of food about their work.
#FoodocracyKitchens is my video podcast series on #FinelychoppedTV where I showcase the wonders of the cuisines of India through the work of home chefs bases in Mumbai.
This podcast episode is a confluence of both. My guest is Sneha Senapati, with whose story I had inaugurated the #FooodcracyKitchens series earlier. This time I spoke to her for #FoodocracyKitchens.
Watch it to know the story of this Cuttack born home chef, who grew up in Bhubaneswar, before she came to Mumbai to do her MSW in TISS and then stayed on to work here in the corporate CSR sector.
She learnt her cooking from her mother as a kid, when she (Sneha) would pretend to be chef Sanjeev Kapoor anchoring a show with her mum as a guest. She lost her mum to cancer later but brought alive her memories through the Odia food festivals that she did at WTF, a gastropub in Mumbai. Her dad would fly in from Bhubaneswar to support her with ingredients from her home town.
Then came the pandemic and the work from home phase which allowed Sneha to pursue her dream of doing Odia food menus from home which she would send out across the city of Mumbai. Most of which, we have had the opportunity to enjoy at home. Among her many fans is industrialist Harsh Goenka who recently tweeted about her food.
Watch the video to know what happened next and please share it because such inspiring stories need to be heard.
