Had to write about this. Like right now. (Even at the risk of sounding like a character in an America High School chick flick).

Kainaz had a bite of the lunch I sent her and called me immediately to say how much she liked it. I had it a bit earlier and loved it. Couple of folks at work joined me and they seemed to approve off the new experiment too.

I recently bought Hummus from Sante for lunch at work. Found it to be a good option. Though I struggled a bit to finish it.

Then I thought of another option.

I picked hummus from Sante again.

Told Banu to sauté 250 g chicken mince with pine nuts, a tablespoon of ketchup, onions, green chillies, salt and pepper.

Came home at night. Added the mince to the hummus. A dash (3,4 drops) of Tabasco Sauce, one finely chopped red chilly and some chopped mint leaves (3,4 again). I slowly stirred it all together and kept it overnight in the fridge.

Brought it to office today and had it with whole wheat Lavash. The mix was creamy and cool. The chilly and Tabasco gave it a faint temper like the distant rumble of thunder clouds. The mint cooled and calmed it. A nice Mediterranean feel in the middle of the concrete expanses of Central Mumbai.

Whole wheat, white meat, chickpea paste, olive oil… sounds healthy too

Am quite proud of myself.
