I went to Jaipur towards the beginning of this year, a bit before the lockdown. My 5th visit to the Pink Study. A city which I fall in love with a bit more each time that I visit it.
I made two new friends this time. Ratika and Richa Khaitan, who are sisters and who run an enterprise called the Cauldron Sisters which they started in 2015. The business started with their creating exotic food gift hampers, followed by their running culinary workshops, getting into food deliveries & with time, restaurants & cafes approached them to work as consultants…at times to revamp age old establishments and at times to help start something new.
The lockdown made them do a hard reset and they started afresh by going back to their roots, ie., catering and food deliveries; of both ‘global fusion dishes’ adopted to local needs and of traditional Rajasthani food.
In this chat we get to hear the story behind the name Cauldron Sisters, their journey over the years and their future plans, after having resolutely weathered through the lockdown.
This is a part of the #foodocracyforher series on the #FinelyChoppedTV where I bring to you inspiring stories of women entrepreneurs in the F&B space. I hope that you will check the other stories in the series too and share them because you never know whom it might give a ray of hope. Something that is much needed in the times we find ourselves in.
